Our Mission and Origin

Founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Adventist Family Clinic is a non-profit, charitable medical center dedicated to serving individuals and families with quality, accessible free medical healthcare. Committed to Christ-centered healing, the clinic provides compassionate medical care to those in need, doing everything within its power to ensure that financial hardships never become a barrier to well-being. With a mission to reflect God’s love through service, the clinic promotes physical, mental, and spiritual health for the entire community.

Hello, my name is Víctor. I am the founder and medical director of the Adventist Family Clinic, a non-profit medical facility based in El Paso, Texas, with a sister clinic in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Our clinic is recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization, and our mission, as outlined in our articles of incorporation, is to:

  1. Provide free medical care to indigent individuals and families in need of treatment.
  2. Serve the sick and underprivileged with compassion and dignity.
  3. Offer relief and comfort to those who suffer, feed the hungry, provide water to the thirsty, and clothe those in need.
  4. Educate, counsel, and support individuals in need while also promoting, establishing, and sustaining churches, Christian schools, and related religious initiatives.

Our Working Method: The Method of Christ

This work was established in obedience to the commandments of the Lord Jesus Christ, and its origins are as follows:

In the summer of 2003, shortly after making the final payment on our home mortgage, I sat at the kitchen island to reflect on and count the endless blessings God had bestowed upon me and my family. As I looked around, I was overwhelmed by the abundance before me—His provision had been extraordinary.

In prayer, I spoke to the Lord:

“You have given me far more than I ever asked for—more than I could have ever expected. Knowing Your boundless love, power, and generosity, I am certain that Your blessings will continue to sustain me for the rest of my days. But, Lord, I do not need so much. I could never spend it all, nor use it fully. What is Your will for me? What would You have me do with all that You have entrusted to me?”

I had my Bible beside me and asked God to speak to me. As I opened the Scriptures, my eyes fell upon Psalm 41:1:

“Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.”

The first seven words were the answer I had been seeking: “Blessed is he who considers the poor.”

I then asked, “Lord, how shall I do this?”

Immediately, the answer came to my mind: With Christ’s Method!

Strengthened by the promises of the Lord Jesus in His Word and with the deep conviction that the Holy Spirit was guiding me—granting wisdom and understanding—I committed myself to planning how to fulfill this calling.

This ministry had to be comprehensive, mirroring the example of Jesus in His earthly mission. And so, the Adventist Family Clinic was born—a place where the work of teaching, healing, and preaching is carried out.

Here, the poor and widows receive care, the hungry are fed, the thirsty are given drink, the foreigner is welcomed, and the naked are clothed. But above all, we share the greatest gift of all: the path of salvation, the way to heaven, and the promise of eternal life.

The Method of Christ is clear:

  1. He approached people to do them good.
  2. He showed them sympathy.
  3. He met their needs.
  4. He gained their trust.
  5. Then, He said to them, “Follow Me.”

At the Adventist Family Clinic, we follow this same method. As instruments in His hands, God uses us as channels to continue exercising His healing ministry. We care for people with love and compassion, and then, Jesus Himself extends His invitation for them to follow Him, with the purpose of saving them, leading them to heaven, and granting them eternal life.

It is through the Adventist Family Clinic and many other institutions like it that Christ continues to exercise His healing and medical ministry in these modern times.

The Adventist Family Clinic is a nonprofit, faith- based organization dedicated to serving those in need with compassion and dignity. Founded on the principles of Christ’s love, we provide free medical care to underserved populations, feed the hungry, clothe the destitute, shelter the homeless, and support the building of new places of worship. Beyond meeting physical needs, we strive to educate and empower communities, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and guide individuals toward spiritual healing and salvation. Our mission is to be a beacon of hope, reflecting God’s grace through acts of service and transforming lives by addressing both physical and spiritual needs and leading people to Christ that they may be transformed into children of God by the Holy Spirit.

The Adventist Family Clinic was started in 2004 and officially established as a legal nonprofit charity organization in 2006. Since its inception, the clinic has served as a vessel through which Jesus Christ ministers to the world, embodying and living His method of service. By meeting people where they are, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and offering hope and healing, the clinic reflects Christ’s love in action. We are committed to following His example of selfless care, seeking to transform lives and guide individuals toward a closer relationship with God. Through every act of service, we strive to make Christ’s compassion and grace tangible to those we serve.
